Never liked pobbies - thought they were yucky. We used to have mashed potato with eggs beaten into it, we called it "Brookin" - luscious, it was.
Does anyone remember barley pudding? It was made with barley kernels, and tasted absolutely wonderful - like rice pudding but richer and creamier. If anyone knows where I can get barley kernels and has a recipe, I would be so grateful.
And can you remember how long it took to spend 3d at the sweetshop?......
