Then perhaps businesses would relocate to other areas where they were treated more favourably.
Councils may even get into the situation where they offered relocation packages to encourage businesses to migrate to their area...taking with them jobs and services.
There needs to be someone with some real interest and skills in bringing business into the area...this will not only bring in revenue in the way of business rates, but JOBS.......which will bring revenue into the borough.
People in work usually have more spending power. They contribute to the local economy.
Or is this view much too simplistic for those who have the power in HBC to grasp?
