Edward the 8th(or he would have been) renounced the throne so that he could marry Wallis Simpson who herself was divorced......he could not marry a divorcee and become King.......and he was forced into exile......Not many men would give up their country and their crown for the woman they loved.....but he loved her enough to do that and he should be applauded because he did the right thing.
