"Lancashire Life" also did an article in the later fifties .. '58 or '59 maybe ... titled "The School that Produces Professors" or summat like that. There was a photo of a bunch of lads in the physics lab with Jackie Foulds. I'm in the photo somewhere. If memory serves me right, Wallwork, Virtue, and Tomlinson were also in that year ... not a bad bunch. The '57 intake probably has more degrees than a cartload of thermometers. Ben told me I wasn't university material; so, I bought my degrees through an ad in one of the supermarket tabloids.
