No dilemma anymore Mick.
If a man wants a happy life, he needs to have a happy wife.
Eric, some men are mentally equipped to live alone.....they can develop strategies which cover all eventualities(as you seem to have done).
Some men(my husband is in this group) would fail miserably. He would not starve. He can clean after a fashion.(he can't manage the washing machine......he still has a dog eared set of instructions that I wrote for him when I went out to Oz for five weeks)
Emotionally he would shrivel up, if left on his own. These are his words. It is a 'mind' thing.
