4 weeks after having my wheelie bin stolen - when it was full I might add, can you believe it! - and after several phone calls and no joy, I decided to go down there and complain. When I got there what happened? There was a list of numbers on the counter to ring and talk to them by phone! Carefully watched by a CCTV camera. I ask you.
I eventually got my replacemen bin, along with a letter letting me know basically that if someone pinches it again I have to fork out 50 quid! Charming.
Apparently help is on the way though - in the form of a crack wheelie bin hunting team. They search yards and gardens for households with more than the required number of wheelie bins or with the wrong numbered wheelie bin!
"Lessen the likelyhood of having your wheelie bin stolen by returning it to your property as soon as possibly after it has been emptied", they say. Bit difficult if you're working, as it it is to get to one of these amazing road shows me thinks.
