I can't believe that only WestEnder has touched on the most beautiful smell in the U.K.! Horse Manure!.........Well, pigs actually to be precise,

Further down south, the fields are annually coated in a lovely layer of well rotted sh** to encourage the cereal crops to grow.

Some years ago, the farmers played about with processed dung that didn't have that distinctive "ammonia" smell but have recently reverted back to the "proper" stuff!

For those that were brought up in the countryside, it was better that the best french perfume (unless you tried putting it behind your ears!) It was a sight to see the "townies" cringe as those lovely smells invaded their nostrils
