Yes.....I think I might still have some of that block mascara somewhere.
It might have been unhygienic, but did anyone come to any harm using it?
My memories are of little sachets of Silvikrin shampoo(4d a sachet at the corner shop).....and Amami wave set and conditioner. Tight pin curls and bulldog clip things that were supposed to make natural looking waves.
