The flagon is in really good condition and the glaze is very much like a 1960s repro one I have from Pearsons of Chesterfield.
The reason I bought it was because on the side it said "Any person refilling or detaining this jar will be prosecuted."
I'm guessing those deposits still made it a cheap hot water bottle !
