I lost my dad 10 days before Christmas 3 months after my mum. I remember someone saying to me that I was now an orphan and I must admit I felt very alone even though I had my other half and 2 grown up children. As an only one there was no one else that felt like I did and I that seemed weird. I believe the Queen once said ' Tears are the price you pay for love.' How true. I would never say to anyone ' Oh they have had a good innings.' because to the people who loved them age means nothing. The longer you have them the more you miss them.
