Isn't the question of lenient sentences completely out of touch with the wishes of the general public. If they break the law they should be incarcerated for the total sentence, sentences to be increased if the have any previous offences - not necessarily for the same offence, and this dream of rehabilitation is a crock of >>>>. Take them off the streets if they break the law.
