Make him feel comfortable.......
Throw him the paper and remind him that the girls night out for tonight is still on.

prepare the kids for his arrival........
Yeah warn them that they better play him up as much as they have played you up all day.

Understand if he is not ready for his meal.........
Simply wizz the plate of food at his head and tell him next time MAKE IT YOUR SELF.

Don't nag him if he can't be bothered to take you out for lunch..........
Just remind him that if he won't plenty of men will.
