Re: 2017/18 Prediction League; Game 40 v Notts County (home)

Wynonie Maxis Out On His Own As Stanley Stay In Front

You wait two seasons for a maxi, then 2 come along in 3 games ........ and you're the only person on the second one !

But with most people, and most importantly Stanley , getting 3 points today, there's little change in the prediction league table, with the Top 4 totally unchanged (except they've all got 3 more points than they had before, obvs ).

Of the Top Ten, only AndyD and DaveinGermany topped up with a bonus point for our clean sheet (for which let's give a huge cheer to Jonny Maxted on his debut),

There's only one Jonny Maxted .....

and only Cashman and Monkey Hanger, assuming positions on the fence , had to settle for a single point for Mark Hughes' winner. As a result, Cashy dropped below DiG and AccyMad into 9th, while Andy and MH stayed put in 5th and 10th. Wynonie's maxi, meanwhile, lifted him from 14th to the brink of the elite, in 11th.

Elsewhere, Lord S (now 14th) and Ossy Kid (15th, self-confessedly going against his hopes and instincts in search of points) slipped a bit to the benefit of Nige B (12th) and MikeA (13th). Revived Red got by Accybeme again to take 19th, and Football19 took advantage of ProccyFan missing the team bus again to slip into 22nd. Ferret Man picked up another 4 points, only missing a maxi by 15 Stanley goals this time .

Well, in the last 4 games we've beaten 3 of what looked like our closest rivals (although 2 of them don't look that way any more). So now it's roll on Colchester, who are still just about interested in the playoffs. This is getting close enough to touch ..... but Tom D has a long way to go yet .

On Stanley On!!
