I had it easy - after 10 years smoking I gave up due to pregnancy. Every time I even smelt a ciggie after I was two months pregnant I threw up, so I couldn't smoke even if I wanted to. I haven't smoked for two years now - except in my dreams!
I remember an advert with John Cleese in it (I think) who said to mix some cig ends with water in a jar and every time you feel like a fag open the jar and smell it. It really does knock you sick and might help you give up up.
