Fred Hamer (1898-1972), Howard & Bullough

Fred Hamer (1898-1972) was my grandfather and worked in the wages dept at Howard & Bullough for 12 years until his retirement. This was probably 1951 to 1963.

He lived at 4 Belfield Road from at least 1956 until his death and shared the house with a childless widow called Mrs Rosina Heys (1880-1977). Mrs Heys continued to live in the house until her death in 1977.

He was married to Nellie Hamer nee Poole and had two children.

He served in WW1 with the 17th Kings Liverpool Regiment in France & Russia.

I never met him and don't know all that much about him apart from the info above. All I know about Howard & Bullough is from the page on Wikipedia.

I'm seeking information about both Fred & Howard & Bullough.
