It is always sad to lose someone who had such an influence on not just the music scene, but the promotion of womens rights too.
She had a long and productive life...she has left lots of soulful music behind to remember her by.
All that said, I am just a tad irritated by the wall to wall media hype.
It was just the same yesterday with Madonna's 60th.
