I only watched sporadically in the 70s because it went completely daft, but then didn't the whole world, but I came back to it in the 80s. It's not "real" any more. Half the characters living in "The Street" just wouldn't be living in a street like that today but I like the mixture of drama and comedy, which
is true to life, and the actors are mostly extremely good. Let's just get the improbable story-lines out of the way.
