Ooh, don't be jealous of me, Garinda. The way I've worked it out, that makes you the same age as my son!

When it first started, we all loved it because it was so "real". People really did live in streets like Corrie and, I swear, I had an auntie who was just like Ena Sharples in her manner.

I only watched sporadically in the 70s because it went completely daft, but then didn't the whole world, but I came back to it in the 80s. It's not "real" any more. Half the characters living in "The Street" just wouldn't be living in a street like that today but I like the mixture of drama and comedy, which is true to life, and the actors are mostly extremely good. Let's just get the improbable story-lines out of the way.
