Re: 2019/20 Prediction League; Game 28 v Burton Albino (away)

Fencesitters Forge Forward as Faith Falters

Defeat to Salford when only two games from Wembley did not affect the Prediction League table but seemed to strike a blow at the heart of our self-belief , with only 10 diehards staying faithful to the colours for the trip to the Brewers, with 14 on the wrong side of the fence and 5 perched on top .

Of those 5, 4 took home maxis , including our leader Monkey Hanger, stretching away again into a 6 point lead over Valairian. Kiwi John's 5 points took him back into the elite, climbing from 12th to 9th and evicting MikeA from his seat at the top table. Further back, Watchdog moved up from 18th to 14th and Football19 from 23rd to 19th. And my more modest 3 points for forecasting a Tutu took me up three, too, from 16th to 13th.

More than half of the rest of you got a point for someone's goal , but with no further impact on positions close to the top of the table.

So, it's roll on the Posh tomorrow night. The way this season is going suggests either a spirited performance sneaking victory against the odds , or a bit of a whamming . I somehow think we'd all prefer the spirited performance , but will we put our predictions where our hearts lead?

On Stanley On!!
