Engelpolz is out Kranzegg/Rettenberg way in the Allgaü, really nice area. A lot of units had "Ski huts" out that way as the name suggests, in winter the boys & girls did Ski-ing, then in the summer it was hill walking, rock climbing, canoeing basic "Adventure Trg".
I hope you visited some of the local "Wirtshauser" (Brewery owned/run Pubs/Hotels) while you were there? There were at least 3 or 4, the 2 that I remember best where Engel Braü & Zöttler.
