Well, actually is based on a bit more than that.
I knew a researcher at the Astra Zeneca research facility in Cheshire.
He was a very well read guy, paid lots of money for his work but gave it up because it went against his core vales(the skulduggery, the misrepresentation of data etc)he gave up the work and retrained as a chiropodist.
Didn't make as much money, fewer perks, but was a happier man.

Less, take nothing at face value other than money.
