There are a number of local walk leaflets avalible free from the tourist information bureau. You could try going up the Kings Highway, via the quarry road at the back of the Coppice and up to Hambledon hill or the Gamblers Caves and coming back either by Spire Farm and Sandy Lane or Plantation Street or carry on towards Baxenden coming out by Sherfin Mill

By the way, I went up Oak Hill Park a number of times last year, sat by the war memorial reading my book and musing on the fact that despite it being a beautiful day and having a well kept and large park, nobdy else was there. Maybe we should build a panopticon to encourage the communities to use this facility!
