Font of all footballing knowledge that you is your worshipfullness, but I beg to disagree with your assumption that no one knew who said, did or perpetrated whatever upon whomever, due to lingual complications.
It seems there would have been a somewhat large influence of "Auf Deutsche" parleyers in the Southern Americas & Argentina at this time due to a certain amount of "Immigration" of the Volkische kind some years previously.
Other than this minor quibble, a most enjoyable & entertaining read.
