Funnily enough, one of the things I found most offensive was the kids' programme on TV, The A Team.
It was full of violence, bombs, grenades, bullets flying, but in the end all the baddies were rounded up, slightly bruised, a little battered, but none the worse for virtually having World War III break out around them.
It wasn't the violence I objected to, it was the fact that it was violence without consequences - did a generation grow up thinking you could blast people with grenades and fire bullets at them, and nobody hurt? To me, that seemed far more worrying than them watching gory movies.
P.S. My daughter saw Deep Throat at a friend's house (nicked from her father's private store) at about 13, and couldn't see what all the fuss was about!
