Arthritis is a combination usually of inflammation and the drying up of the synovial fluid within a joint. Muscles will respond to massage, arthritis will not. Stick to the glucosamine, because that works internally, and while you're waiting, keep on taking the tablets ..... When arthritis gets to a critical stage, joint replacement is really the only way forward, but be warned that hip replacements have a potential life of up to 10 years, before they need to be revised. (Used to work in Orthopaedics.)
