I cannot answer that question MH, because it seems that those with gender issues have very tender egos.
So it maybe that they want to be recognised as something different….or it maybe, as you said, someone else getting offended on their behalf.
Recently there was a homosexual GP in Liverpool who was banned from working for a month because of his offensive comment about cis people ( yes, I had to look it up too) these are people like you and me who identify with the gender they were born with
He went on to say that he was cis-phobic…..so what is he doing being a GP….most of those he will be caring for will be patients he says he is phobic of.
