Some of you may or some of you may not know about the SOHO(Solar and Heliospheric Observatory) Project. For those who don't, it is a joint project between NASA and ESA(European Space Agency) to monitor and examine our sun. One part of the project looks at the sun and takes a filtered picture of it every five minutes. Another part blocks out the disc of the sun so that photographs can be taken of the corona surrounding it. This is what it usually looks like...the dark bar is the support which holds the blocking disc in place.
