It was enjoyable and I thank you again for providing that link. I don't have any problems at all with a local commentator being a little bit of a "homer", as we say over here, and I didn't think he was out of line at all. As posted elsewhere, the first thing he actually mentioned in his broadcast was the away support and their banners.
His insistence at calling Ged Brannan "Gerrard" was a bit puzzling (I'd never seen or heard any one call him that so I had to check out his profile on the fishy site to verify that as his given name) but he more than made up for it by carrying on about the nice people at Barrow getting thrashed 3-0. I think he got more excited about the score of a rugby league match than anything that happened in the game he was calling. |
