I saw that story about the man who was shot by his cat. I don't believe a word of it. I think he shot himself, by accident, or his wife did it and he's too embarrassed to admit it. Surely, if by some freak chance the trigger were activated when the gun fell, he would have been shot in the foot or leg? "Lower torso" says to me that he was cleaning it while it (or he) was loaded or he'd been playing away and his wife got her aim right.
