I am going to tell you why my stance has changed.
In 2016/2017, my elderly mum (89 and frail) had her back yard used by Asian young men for dealing drugs.
They used her outside toilet, they could not get into her garage from the external door. But climbed her backyard wall and got in through that door.
When she politely asked them to leave they verbally abused her and told her she had a ‘lot of windows the could put in’.
When the police were contacted what do you think they did?
Absolutely nothing. This in spite of there being CCTV footage.
They made the last couple of years of my mothers life miserable and although we made changes so that the backyard was secure, she never felt truly safe.
