Till pies do us part
A bride and groom were determined that their wedding day would be perfect - right down to the three-tier pork pie wedding cake.
Mr and Mrs Booth, from Yorkshire, are potty about the regional food and decided that the best way to celebrate their union was with a piece of pie.
"It was the first time the butcher had been asked to do one and it made us both feel extra special," newlywed Mr Booth told the Yorkshire Post.
The whopping 50lb "cake" was served to the Booths' 100 guests with generous helpings of mushy peas.
More than two pints of jelly was used to make the three pies, with the bottom one measuring 13 inches across and four deep and weighing in at 25lb.
The couple are founding members of the Pork Pie Appreciation Society, which holds an annual pork pie championship in Ripponden, near Halifax.
