Twisted firemen
After letting their competitive edge get the better of them, two firemen have been arrested for starting fires.
Jose Antecao Gonzales and Luis Navarro Aguila were arrested by authorities after being spotted starting blazes in shops and houses in the Isla Chiloe area of Chile.
However, the pair, from Ancud in Chile, later explained to police that they were trying to compete to see who would be quickest to respond to the emergency call.
A police spokesperson told La Cuarta newspaper: "They would set the places on fire then run back to their HQ."
Fortunately, nobody was injured in the fires but the pair are set to face criminal charges and, unsurprisingly, expulsion from their jobs.
