Re: Where would you go?

For the five years before I retired in 2002, I saved my pennies and planned a six month trip to Australia. We went in the January of 2003 and visited all the places that you read about.
The great Barrier Reef.......Uluru(AKA Ayers Rock) Alice Springs, Kings Canyon........took the dawn walk around the canyon. Mount Buffalo and the Victorian snow fields......though at the time they were devastated by the bush fires that had raged during the early part of that year. We visited Perth and I met up with friends from 30 years ago. Sydney, but I didn't climb the bridge...for which I am truly sorry......I needed someone to go with and hubby point blank refused. Melbourne for the Grand Prix.......South Australia and the vinyards. It was an absolutely awesome trip.........and worth every penny.
We flew everywhere business class and I loved it. At the end of the six months I didn't want to come back.......I wanted to skip off and 'go bush'. Pendy... the best advice I can give you is follow your dream! I have somewonderful memories that will sustain me when my travelling days are done.
