I had a thought this afternoon and was wondering if anyone knew the answer.

At the Registry Office there is a part of the ceremony where they ask if anyone knows of any reason why these two can't marry. Now my understanding is that there must be the opportunity for anyone to walk in and object. How does this fit with the security etc? i.e. couldn't Osama just walk right in there? If he was refused access then surely the marriage can't be legal?

Just curious really.
