never buy a second hand dvd writer and dont buy those cheap ones from emit
for best disk compatability and value for money i recomend the pioneer dvd writer
pioneer 108 is a good solid writer
i think they are up to pioneer 109 now
a word of advice
pioneer have 2 versions of each model they make
you will see pioneer 108 and a pioneer A08 the difference is the A08 will be cheaper yet there is no difference between it than the 108 exept for with the 108 you get a ide cable and some trial software
i have had liteon writers and each time had nothong but trouble and the bottom price writers are never realy any good like those from emit or pc worlds own brand
i have tried many dvd writers and found pioneer to be the best and a i am not alone in thinking this as many hardware sites recomend them and people in review forums etc
