Last week at the Hyndburn Healthy Heart thingy they said that bananas help you sleep but not to eat them immediately before bed, maybe an hour before.
The general accepted normal sleep requirement is 8 hours but some people don't need as much as others. I find that if I stay up late then I can't get through a whole day without a short nap as a kind of catch-up.
