Most dentist's charge a no show fee if you don't give prior notice for a missed appointment. l think these people should be struck off, it makes a mockery of the lines of people waiting to register every time a dentist open his/her books for new patients.

If you trust your friend then it might just be worth the trip.
I was told by Garnets I needed 4 fillings about 8 years ago. I have seen a different dentist every 6 months since and needed none of the 4.
