I learned to play the ukelele (I like George Formby, OK?) and to tune it you sing "My dog has fleas". Don't know why, but it works.
Reading music - Every Good Boy Deserves Favour and FACE for the treble clef; Good Boys Deserve Favour Always and All Cows Eat Grass for the bass.
