When it says the cost of banking 250 ackers is 250 ackers all that means is that you ackers on hand are only reduced by the number you bank (you don't lose an additional 250 ackers) Some actions cost you extra such as donating ackers to someone else.

I can't actually remember the exact wording because I don't look when I bank.

I have had some interest, not sure how much or how often but I know something has been added to my bank account.
