We had a real brain buster in nursing in order to remember the 12 cranial nerves. It went something like this-

Facial
Glossopharyngeal
Vagus
Accessory
Hypoglossal
It never worked very well for me at the time, and I prayed that we wouldn't get any nervous system anatomy in our finals...
