The fact that he was highly trained is irrelevant, surely no police officer needs to drive at 160mph. In a pursuit situation I thought they deployed a helicopter to track the suspect vehicle(s) and the highly trained, creme de la creme drivers were merely used to intercept the offenders. In which case why do police traffic officers need to be trained to drive at such speeds on public highways?
