The last we heard was hat the clock was in pieces and in storage in the Arndale. I seem to recall that the Arndale company had passed on ownership to HBC. I'm quite sure that repair and re-erection costs would be somwhat smaller than the intended spend on the Panopticon (whatever has happened to that?)

I suppose if a new bus station was ever built ( again, whatever happened to that plan) then a site could be found there.
