I had a tame hedgehog once. I took to feeding it chicken and milk in the garden, and it reckoned it was on to a good thing, and nipped into the house. I put it out in the garden. It came back into the house. I put it at the bottom of the garden (long garden). It was waiting on the doorstep next time I opened the back door. My vet's advice was to de-flea it and keep it - so I did. Only problem was, we had a very old telly, and it used to climb into the back and curl up round the valves where it was warm. Had to remove valves more often than not to get hedgehog out. It was very affectionate, and would rub its nose against your feet. Loved it dearly, and wept buckets when it died of old age.
