I have just downloaded a program called google earth and its absolutely fascinating and I wish they had had it earlier, you can check where you live from a satellite plus put in any route you want and it will map it for you. It will be a great tool for busman and most of the kids on here that are doing geography you can also check rail time tables etc.. give it a go.
