Apparently thong sales are the same amongst young people, but have slumped amongst their mothers / grandmothers. It looks like the older ladies have decided that they are not for them.
The reason that they have slumped more at Harvey Nicks than anywhere else is because they are too darned expensive there. When a thong will cost you nigh on £20 and £19.99 worth of it is buried in your butt, then surely £2.99 - £4.99 at Dorothy Perkins / Next / M&S etc is a better deal..
