My family (HERD and GILLETTE) was from Clayton-le-Moors back in the mid-1800's.
An online friend from years ago, Su Armitage, who used to have the website
www.accynet had helped me out with a lot of local Accy photography, in exchange for me hosting some webfiles for her.
Walter Holmes, also of Accy, was a great help with some research.
Haven't found Su's website anymore and was wondering if she has another. Would like to hear from Walter as well.
Would be really nice to hear from any "cousins" in Accy (HERD / GILLETTE) or Yorkshire (spelled HIRD there).
