Hehehe, I have nothing against progress, it is needed in order that we don't stagnate as a race, but the Space Race seems to have been going on for an awful long time with very little to show for it. Ever since Yuri Gagarin orbited the planet in 1961 lots of time, money and effort has been ploughed into the Space race. It seems that over 44 years of full time work by the best brains on the planet hasn't really accomplished very much. Maybe if the time, money, effort and brain power had been used to find a cure for cancer, HIV, diabetes etc, then we would have more to show for it in our everyday lives....

I know that we can't help but wonder if there's anything out there, but surely after all these years of looking.............
