I can't believe the people at the Townhall told you to tell the bailiffs to laugh in their face and to tell them to 'f**k off.'
When I've been in to see them they have always been professional and very helpful, even pointing me in the right direction to make sure I was getting all the benefits I was entitled to, unconnected to the council tax.
Carl if they did say this to you, I suggest you should make a complaint.
