I was at home looking after m y 3 kids, then aged 13, 12 and 2. I can remember being shocked and sad because I had first hear Elvis when I was 13 (and he was 21) and had been a fan ever since. I was never so keen on his white jump-suit days but in the early days, and when he made the "comeback tour" film - dressed all in black leather, well all I can say is CO-O-OR!
I'll let you into a secret. I have a large calendar on my wall at the office (yes, it's a 2005 one) and it's all pictures of Elvis circa 1956. A present from my son and daughter-in-law last Christmas.
