know what you mean about swimming in them mudpits, but to me sharnhall was the cleanest of the lot of them.But they said there where big pike in there and you had to swim like **** to get across..........lol. used to throw javelin for hyndburn schoolies, practised down at sharnhall ,could get a stone straight across without hitting the water?
