Gambler's Caves were over the top of the Coppice towards Hameldon, if I remember rightly. Basically, it was an old stone quarry with a couple of caves in it. The name came about because the spot was used for illicit gambling games, way back when. Always a bit of an eerie place, I thought.

spot on with that wyn as you approached the caves there was a big reservoir to the left we used to go in that it was ruddy freezing
we used to take the bows and arrows up gamblers had some great afternoons.
